Fairfax is a Vancouver-based capital markets firm that fosters business growth by connecting capital with ideas. I identified critical friction points where the legacy interface hindered the efficient exploration of investment opportunities. By merging Human-Centered Design (HCD) with direct WeWeb development, I modernized the interface to ensure seamless capital facilitation.
The previous interface lacked visual clarity and structured navigation, creating a high cognitive load for investors. In an industry where "The greatest barrier to wealth is not skill, it's Distraction," the fragmented layout caused potential investors to lose focus before engaging with high-value funding opportunities.

I served as the Lead Product Designer and WeWeb Developer, assuming full end-to-end ownership of the Fairfax digital ecosystem from initial discovery to final production deployment. In this capacity, I operated as a "Value Translator," a term I define as the bridge between technical capability and financial impact. My responsibility was to ensure that Fairfax’s core mission fostering business innovation was not lost in translation but was instead amplified through a high-performance, responsive digital solution.
Key areas of my leadership included:
Strategic Stakeholder Alignment: I collaborated with leadership to translate the firm's capital market goals into actionable design requirements, ensuring the UI directly supported investor acquisition.
Design-Engineer Hybrid Workflow: By owning both the Figma architecture and the WeWeb technical build, I eliminated the traditional "handoff gap," ensuring 100% design fidelity and a significantly accelerated time-to-market.
Information Architecture Governance: I architected the platform's data structure to prioritize "Outcome Focus" over "Feature Focus," guiding investors toward high-value funding opportunities with minimal cognitive friction.
Technical Implementation & Scalability: Beyond aesthetics, I engineered the no-code infrastructure to be future-proof, focusing on scalability and performance metrics that align with global capital market standards.
AI-Enhanced Efficiency: I directed GenAI tools to automate the mundane technical aspects of the build, such as prompt engineering and data mapping, which allowed me to dedicate more focus to the creative strategy and user empathy required for high-stakes financial interfaces.
This multi-faceted role allowed me to move beyond the "Commodity Zone" of simple UI design into the "Premium Zone" of product strategy, where I leveraged my Data Science background and current MBA training to drive measurable business growt
Following the principles of "Design for the Outcome," I moved beyond building features to managing progress:
Defining the Outcome: Focused on measurable progress, such as reducing the time taken for investors to locate resources.
Reframing the Flow: Instead of a "UI update," I treated this as a "Value Translation" project making technical financial data emotionally engaging.
Partnering with AI: Leveraged AI tools to handle technical mastery (automation and prompt engineering), allowing me to focus on the "Premium Zone" of strategy and empathy.
I reframed the platform as a "Future-Proof Value Equation". The goal was to build a system where "Your job is no longer to compete with AI, but to direct it," creating a platform that automates the mundane parts of capital matching so humans can focus on strategic partnership.
The final Fairfax platform delivers a transformative digital presence:
Structured Navigation: Optimized user flow allowing for efficient exploration of opportunities.
Engaging Interactions: Modernized the UI to enhance investor accessibility and engagement.
High-Performance Architecture: A fully responsive no-code solution built for future scale.
I utilized a high-velocity Figma-to-WeWeb workflow:
Figma Redesign: Focused on a clean, professional layout that improved usability and accessibility for a global audience.
WeWeb Development: Personally developed the web app to ensure a fully responsive, scalable, and high-performance experience without the "handoff" friction of traditional dev cycles.
Task-Appropriate Interfaces: Ensured that investment resources and funding opportunities were integrated into a structured layout.
THE IMPACT
Faster Connections: Streamlined the capital connection process, making it faster and more efficient.
Investor Readiness: Positioned Fairfax as a modern industry leader, moving the platform into the "Premium Zone" of capital markets.
Scalable Infrastructure: Every element was designed for future maintenance and scale, ensuring long-term business value.
